Orbit Natural Product Derivatives is a research-driven small business engaged in method discovery and development in the synthesis and applications of natural products and their derivatives.  In early work, we sought to create new uses for waste glycerin generated from biodiesel production and explored the use of glycerin as well as other "green" solvents in a variety of chemical reactions.  

Later we investigated reactions of select substrates using environmentally-friendly reagents.  As a result of our efforts, we have discovered green chemistries which can be used to prepare a variety of natural products- some of which are found in commercially available essential oils and oleoresins.  

You can buy natural products and derivatives in pure form or as components of blended oil mixtures.  We carry a broad range of aroma compounds and essential oils for many applications including perfuming and soap or candle making.  We also offer a diverse array of solvents and reagents.  Our customers include a variety of chemistry enthusiasts including hobbyists, students, and small business owners or employees working in chemical industries.
